Book 1
Familiar Origins
Familiar Origins is the introductory novel of the Draca Wards fantasy series. The main characters are introduced here. Their backstories begin when they are children, revealing the adventures and tragedies that mold their personalities. A few of the dragons are also presented.
Book 2
Plights
The sequel to Familiar Origins is a continuation of the wards’ stories at the Academy. Plights touches more on the developing closeness of the main characters, revealing the basis of deep and sometimes complex relationships. More dragons are introduced, and although the wards may not yet be a match for the evil Debellos, they have protection from unlikely allies.
Book 3
Coming of Age
In Coming of Age, most of the wards are now considered young adults. Romance plays a significant part in many of the characters’ lives at this point. The dragons become even bigger threats, and now the wards have to defend themselves and thwart the dragons and their evil schemes all on their own.
Book 4
Glimpses of Destiny
Glimpses of Destiny wraps up the Academy years for most of the characters. The wards begin to use their powers in earnest, as they come into their own. But the perils they face are great, and they all soon receive a taste of the dangerous obstacles they must overcome to help save their world.
Book 5
Severance
Severance begins immediately after Glimpses of Destiny. The consequences of Rohen’s decisions play out, changing the lives of many of the wards and their friends. The world begins to expand beyond the Academy, and yet another dragon joins the fray.
Book 6
Crossings
In Crossings, many of the wards begin their lives post-Academy. They are no longer the defenseless children the dragons had sought to claim, but the dangers they now face are greater than ever.
Book 7
The Fire King and the Battle Mage
Author B. Pine continues her story of the young wards and their plights against the dragons. In this installment, the world expands and the wards and their allies come truly into their own.
